Codependency is an imbalanced relationship pattern that can make you feel trapped and powerless. In this pattern, one person assumes responsibility for meeting another person’s needs to the exclusion of acknowledging their own needs or feelings. It is commonly, but not exclusively found in people who are family members or partners those struggling with mental health challenges, addiction and alcoholism.
