Alyssa Leight, LCSW, ASW
Alyssa is Senvea's Founder and Clinical Director. She is a fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York, Connecticut and Florida. She is also an AASW Accredited Social Worker in Australia. She has a decade of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples and groups around the world. Alyssa specialises in relationships, addiction (subtance use /sex / love) and trauma.
Bio
Alyssa earned her bachelor’s degree from Columbia University, Barnard College, and her master’s in social work from New York University. She began her professional journey as a therapist at The Dorm in NYC, specialising in substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, before joining the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, where she advanced to become the Supervisor of Addiction Services. In 2020, Alyssa established her private practice and began providing clinical supervision to therapists internationally.

Alyssa's therapeutic approach is both eclectic and holistic. She crafts personalised treatment plans drawing from her extensive postgraduate certifications in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Trauma Treatment, Somatic Experiencing, and the Gottman Method Couple Therapy. She is also in the process of completing her certification as a CSAT (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist). When beneficial, she integrates her training as a 200-hour certified meditation teacher and 200-hour RYT yoga instructor.

After 11 years in New York City, Alyssa sought a more balanced lifestyle, relocating first to Bali and then to Australia. From there, she continues to provide exceptional mental health services both locally and internationally.
